Refund and Returns Policy

At Laser Tools, we want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy outlines our approach to refunds, returns, and warranties in line with New Zealand consumer law.

1. Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ). Under the CGA, you are entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, is not of acceptable quality, does not match its description, or is not fit for purpose. If a fault is minor, we may repair, replace, or refund the product. If a fault is serious, you may choose a refund or replacement.

2. Change of mind returns

We do not offer refunds or returns for change-of-mind purchases. Please choose carefully and review product specifications before ordering. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable, contact us before purchasing.

3. Faulty or damaged products

If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or video showing the fault or damage. Once assessed, we will arrange a suitable remedy in line with the CGA.

4. Manufacturer warranty

All products sold on lasertools.co.nz are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms and durations vary by product and will be clearly stated on the product page. Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, a serial number, and return of the item for assessment. We will assist you with the warranty process where required.

5. Returns process

If a return is approved, we will provide return instructions. Products must be returned in their original condition where reasonably possible, including all accessories and packaging. Returned items may be assessed by the manufacturer or supplier before a refund or replacement is issued.

6. Return shipping costs

If a product is faulty or damaged, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs. If a return is not covered by the CGA, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

7. Non-returnable items

We cannot accept returns for products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper installation, normal wear and tear, products that have been modified or repaired by a third party, or items returned without prior approval.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Please allow 3–5 business days for the refund to appear after processing, depending on your payment provider.
