Important Notice for Business & Trade Customers

Contracting Out of Consumer Law: If you are “in trade” and acquiring our goods for the purposes of a business, you agree to contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Sections 9, 12A, and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986. Our liability for any defect is limited strictly to the replacement or repair of the unit. We do not cover labor costs, re-work, or project delays (consequential loss).

Professional Duty of Care: You acknowledge that as a trade professional, you have a duty to verify the accuracy of precision instruments. You must perform a field calibration check prior to each use. We accept no liability for errors resulting from the use of an out-of-tolerance instrument where this check was not performed.

1. About These Terms

These terms apply to all orders for products placed by you on this website. We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, unless you are acquiring goods for business purposes as outlined above.

2. Ordering

By placing an order on lasertools.co.nz, you are making an offer to purchase a product at the price stated (subject to our terms). We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. An order is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us.

You must be 18 years of age or older to place an order, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

If you notice a mistake in your order confirmation, please contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee changes can be made once an order has been processed.

We reserve the right to cancel any order if we suspect fraudulent activity, unauthorised use of a payment method, or a violation of these terms. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.

3. Pricing And Payment

All prices displayed on lasertools.co.nz are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout before payment is confirmed.

We take care to ensure prices are accurate, but errors can occasionally occur. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before processing your order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. All transactions are processed securely. We do not store your payment card details.

4. Product Descriptions

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate, complete and up to date. However, manufacturers may change specifications without notice. Colours and finishes may appear differently on your screen than in reality. If you believe a product you receive is significantly different from its description, please contact us. This is in line with your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Product images are for illustrative purposes and may not represent exact packaging or included accessories in all cases. Included accessories are listed in the product description – please refer to this rather than the image.

5. Availability And Stock

Product availability is displayed on each product page and is updated regularly. In the event that an item becomes unavailable after your order is confirmed, we will contact you promptly and offer a full refund or an alternative solution if acceptable.

Some products are shipped directly from our supplier rather than from local stock. This will be clearly stated on the product page, along with the relevant delivery timeframe.
